Hello! We are a group of youths from Toa Payoh Methodist Church and we are coming together to do something meaningful for both the local and overseas community!
WHAT ARE WE DOING
This year, due to the COVID-19 situation, we were not able to go overseas for missions trip to help the less privileged. However, God’s work will carry on, with or without COVID-19!
On 27th and 28th November 2020, we came together for a two-day camp that introduced us to the outreach ministries of TPMC. We distributed food items to the rough sleepers and visited the poor and needy families. We also heard from our missionaries from Cambodia and Thailand about their ministries and the needs in the missions fields.
Having heard and seen the needs locally and overseas, we are embarking on this project to raise money for the Jubilee Fund. The Jubilee Fund is an initiative by our church to raise $500,000 as part of TPMC’s 50th Anniversary celebrations.
Our target is to raise $20,000 for the Jubilee Fund through Skipping for A Cause.
HOW IT WORKS
For every dollar you give, one of our team members will do 5 skips. For $20,000, we will do 100,000 skips (accumulative)! We will fulfill our commitment on 31st Jan 2021 at 3.00 p.m. in the church.
