One of the things we want to do as Disciples@TPMC is to Love Our Church, and we can do that by serving. Through the simple act of serving, we grow as disciples of Jesus, and show our love for Him and one another. And as we do so, we build up the church and ourselves.
Let us also remember that even Jesus came to serve, not to be served; and we should follow His example if we are His disciples. This is the reason God gave us talents, so that we can do His work. Therefore, we should not hold back on serving Him or using what He has given us for His Kingdom.
There are many areas within the church to serve in. You can start with more accessible roles such as ushers, Block Blessing Befrienders, or helping to groom future leaders in the Boys’ or Girls’ Brigade. If you like more technical roles, you can try being part of the Audio Visual Tech Crew, a Photographer or Worship and Music Ministry member.
Whichever role you choose, there is none which is insignificant or unimportant because they are all parts of the same body of Christ.
So let’s all Love Our Church.
