WEDDINGS
If you are planning your wedding, congratulations!
This is an important milestone in your life, and we know you and your partner want to find the right place to take your vows before God.
Our church Sanctuary is available for weddings for our members, but please take a moment to read the guidelines below before submitting the Wedding Application Form.
Guidelines to the Solemnisation/Blessing of Marriage
- Booking of the Church Sanctuary for weddings is only for members of Toa Payoh Methodist Church (TPMC).
- Either the bride or the groom must be a member of TPMC at the time of the wedding.
- Applicants must complete a Marriage Preparation Course (MPC) before Solemnisation or Blessing of Marriage. The course should cover the following topics:
- Communication
- Conflict
- Commitment
- Connection
- Adventure
If applicants are unable to attend the MPC course by TPMC, they could consider courses conducted by other Methodist churches, EMCC, Alpha Singapore or Focus on the Family.
- Applicants are strongly encouraged to have their wedding conducted by TPMC Pastors. Non-TPMC solemnisers will need to be approved by the Pastor-In-Charge
- Weddings shall be held only on Saturday.
- The time slot for Weddings is: 9.30am to 2.00pm.
- Applicants will have 2 or more couple sessions with their Solemnising Pastor; and a briefing session with the Facilities Team.
- A wedding rehearsal will be scheduled.
- A refundable deposit of $800 must be made to secure the booking and the balance should be paid one month before the date of the wedding.
- You may submit the Wedding Application Form via email to bernice.ong@tpmc.org.sg, or the hard copy to the Information Counter on Sundays.
- If you are looking for a pastor to solemnise a wedding outside of our church, you can also submit your request using the same form.
