We’re launching a church‑wide design competition for our new tote bag, and we want you to be part of it! Here are the details:
Design Brief
1. Theme
Designs should communicate welcome, belonging, and hope, and align with the church’s visions of Encounter to Love.
2. Audience
The bag is intended primarily for first‑time guests and newcomers from diverse age groups and backgrounds.
3. Design Requirements
- Design must be original and created by the entrant
- Suitable for a tote bag (front design required; back optional)
- Should work well in 3–4 colours (including black and white)
- Design must be clear and legible when printed on fabric
- Church name/logo may be included (please contact christopher.tsoi@tpmc.org.sg if you need the logo)
4. Content Guidelines
Designs must:
- Be welcoming, inclusive, and respectful
- Align with Christian values and the church’s beliefs
- Be suitable for all ages and cultures
Designs must not:
- Contain offensive, political, or discriminatory content
- Include copyrighted material not owned by the participant
- Promote other organisations, brands, or personal businesses
- Use images or text generated or copied without permission
5. Technical Specifications
- Design size: max A4 portrait
- Bag type: beige colour canvas tote bag
- File format: PDF / PNG / AI / PSD (high‑resolution)
- Colour mode: CMYK or grayscale
- Minimum resolution: 300 DPI
- Filesize limit: 10MB
6. Submission Guidelines
- Each participant/group may submit one design
- Closing date & time: 30 June 2026, 11:59pm
- Late entries will not be considered
7. Judging Criteria
Entries will be evaluated based on:
- Alignment with theme & purpose
- Creativity & originality
- Visual clarity and impact
- Practicality for printing and everyday use
- Suitability for newcomers
- The judging panel may consist of church leaders, creative team members, and/or ministry representatives. The judges’ decision is final.
8. Prize & recognition
Winning designer will receive: a tote bag filled with selected gifts and goodies
- The winning design will be produced and used for the church’s Welcome Bags
- Selected finalists may be featured on church platforms
9. Usage & Rights
By submitting an entry:
- Participants confirm the design is their own original work
- Participants grant the church the right to:
- Print, modify, and reproduce the design
- Use the design for church‑related purposes (including promotional materials)
- The designer will be credited wherever reasonably possible
General Conditions
The church reserves the right to:
- Disqualify entries that do not meet the guidelines
- Request minor design modifications before production
- Not award a prize if no submission meets the required standard
- All matters not covered in these rules will be determined by the organising team
